Custom Reports

Q[x] 2025 Priorities

Candidly, I haven't used Reports in the last quarter, but what we use it for is largely creating reports for quarterly product planning for custom slices/views of Jira programs in specific statuses, with specific labels, etc. The value we get is the flexibility of reporting on custom data points (e.g. how many programs with a specific label, segmented by status)

This is probably doable with the Google Sheets export, but this has proven to be less reliable than the AppFire Reports in Jira. We can probably live without it, but would love to know what the reporting capabilities are in Cloud.

Custom Reports

I have several custom reports created which I use for reporting metrics to our leadership

This is a very important tool for all of our metric reporting. We use it daily.

Technology

Daily

Agile Reports (e.g., Sprint Report, Velocity Chart), Issue Analysis Reports (e.g., Created vs. Resolved Issues, Resolution Time), Workload Reports (e.g., Workload Pie Chart, Time Tracking), Project Progress Reports (e.g., Project Status, Roadmap), Custom Reports

My team has created multiple reports that reflect real-time monitoring of our security events and reporting to the CTO and executive sweet.

Much of the reporting is used to track operational mean times within our case management of security events. We do not currently have another method to do this.

Custom Reports

SegPlat Work Done (I update the query on a monthly basis for the purposes of MBR reporting)

I use custom reports to enumerate completed work for my teams and/or individauls with custom export fields so that it is easily transferable to Google Sheets for further refinement.

Agile Reports (e.g., Sprint Report, Velocity Chart), Workload Reports (e.g., Workload Pie Chart, Time Tracking), Project Progress Reports (e.g., Project Status, Roadmap)

The reports I use the most start with the "CIT" prefix.

Everything I get out of my reports can be obtained in other ways. The app is mostly for convenience of visibility.

Workload Reports (e.g., Workload Pie Chart, Time Tracking)

I use custom reports: RIOPS Successful cusIDs - WBR/MBR - with Success/Error IDs , Time in Status Report - last month & last week

we're tracking tickets time for our monthly reports and analyse were something is out of ordinary.

restops_review reporting, Monthly RESTOPS Metrics, ACH Entry Reporting - Last Working Day (used by my team, not me)

tbh I can probably just use jira issue filters/search to accomplish most of what I do

Project Progress Reports (e.g., Project Status, Roadmap), Custom Reports

I heavily use AppFire reports on a daily bases to help me gain insights, in an easily readable format, which regular Jira gadgets do not allow for. I use this dashboard several times each day to track data around my teams:

How well my teams actions align with company initiatives on a real-time basis, easily identify stalled work in progress without having to run reports, allocation of work categories, insight into balancing new tickets with backlog hygiene, and details around projects as it aligns with weekly business reviews. Without AppFire reports, I had to write complex Google Sheet formulas and rely on Jira Google Sheets export. This was an extensive effort and by doing all this in Jira I'm able to align not only my teams, but my managers organization with the same insights and standards. Hopefully there's similar functionality in Jira Cloud. Feel free to reach out to me with additional questions. I have about 60+ custom AppFire reports I rotate through in my Jira account. Thank you.

Custom Reports

Blitz Offers, Campaigns to Build, Upcoming Rewards

The Revenue Ops team uses the "Campaigns to Build" report daily to see which promo offers they need to build that day. The Growth Marketing team uses Blitz Offers and similar reports to identify supply for upcoming offers associated with marketing campaigns. The Merchant Network team uses "Campaigns to Build" and "Upcoming Rewards" to monitor upcoming offers to determine offers supply and tracking towards EPM marketing goals.

Create my own charts in the space and use them on my dashboard. I also email the reports I create and use them in weekly business reviews

i use appfire mostly to figure out the distribution of A, B, C work amongst my teams engineers to make sure we're allocating the correct amount of C work per our org's targets
