Accessing the Application
In order to access the application to perform Daily Scrum, please follow the steps mentioned below:
Go to your Jira instance.
Go to Apps > Daily Scrum For Jira
You will be able to see the home page where you will see 2 tabs:
My Standups/ Scrum: Select the dropdown to select one of the Standups/ Scrum where you have been added as Scrum Master/ participant
All Standups/ Scrum: You will be able to see all the Standups/ Scrum where you have been added as a participant/ Srum Master. You will be able to see the details of the Scrum and edit/ remove them.
Creating a New Scrum Meeting
In order to create a new Daily Scrum,
Go to All Standups/ Scrum.
Click on the “Add new Standup/Scrum“ button.
Enter the information and click on the Next button.
General:
Name: Enter the name of the Scrum Meeting
Time: Select the time of the Scrum Meeting
Meeting link: Enter the link of zoom/ teams/ google meet/ etc meeting scheduled for Daily Scrum
Days: Select the days when you will host the Daily Scrum meeting.
Projects: Select the projects for which this Scrum Meeting will be scheduled.
Template: Define the template/ questions which you need to ask during the Daily Scrum Meeting. There is a predefined template which you can use. You can add new questions and delete existing questions as per your needs.
Participants: Select the participants for the Daily Scrum. Make sure that you assign at least one participant as the Scrum Master.
Integration: Use this to integrate slack with your daily scrum meeting. (https://applifare.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DSFJ/pages/153878529/Configuring+Slack+Integration?atl_f=PAGETREE )
Click on the Create Scrum button to create your daily scrum meeting.
Running/ Participating in Daily Scrum
In order to participate in the Daily Scrum,
Go to My Standups/ Scrum
Use the dropdown to select the Standups/ Scrum in which you wish to participate.
You will be able to see:
Scrum Name: Name of the Scrum Meeting
Meeting Link: If configured, you will be able to join an external meeting on Zoom/ Teams/ etc using this link
Projects: Displays the name of projects for which this Scrum meeting is applicable
Standup Time: Scheduled time for the meeting.
Working Days: Days in week on which the meeting is scheduled.
Team Members: List of team members who are participants of the Scrum meeting.
Standup Form: Based on the template defined for the Scrum meeting, you will be able to see the questions/ sections where you can share your answers/ updates.
Jira Issue: Select the Jira issue/ work item against which you wish to enter the updates.
Enter the details/ updates from your end.
After entering all the updates, click on the Submit Standup button.
Daily Report: You can select the date for which you want to see your update you had submitted in the Scrum meeting. This can be exported to CSV/ XLSX using the respective buttons.
Weekly Report: You can select the week for which you want to see updates submitted in the Scrum meeting. There are two types of views in this report:
Date View: Based on the date, updates from team will be displayed.
User View: Based on the users, updates from team will be displayed.
Insights: Use this view to track your team’s participation in the scrum meetings.
